Comments:
- The draw used ball set 8 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.60.
One in every 54.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.83% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,194,607.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 6 wins totalling £60.
- The number 25 has taken a lead of three in the main number
frequency
table after its 58th such appearance.
Even more remarkably, it now has a lead of six in the equivalent
winning number table with
a total of 68 such appearances.
- With the number 11 turning up as a
main number for the first time in 28
draws, the numbers 4 and 14 are now joint longest
current
main and
winning
number absentees, thanks to their non-appearance for 27 draws.
- Two main numbers, 3 and 46,
have now both appeared in each of the last three
consecutive draws.
There has never been a situation before where two
main numbers have achieved this feat simultaneously.
- I matched one number on each of my two tickets, which would come as no
shock to anyone following my dismal 6-month run of losses.
- A 5+bonus prize of £98,667 won by a ticket bought in the Hereford and Worcester area expired and was added to the Good Causes fund.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 21st October 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
