Comments:

• The draw used ball set 2 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £26.66. One in every 59.3 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.69% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,200,555.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 6 wins totalling £60.
• The 32nd appearance of the main number 37 has moved it off of the bottom of that frequency table, leaving just the numbers 19 and 39 to occupy that position.
• This draw's sickening news for me wasn't that I failed to match anything on my first ticket and only two numbers on my second ticket, but that if it was a rollover (like the previous draw), my third ticket would have won me £10.
• A 5+bonus prize of £150,592 won by a ticket bought in the Liverpool area expired and was added to the Good Causes fund.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 2nd September 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
