Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £19.40.
One in every 43.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.31% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,693,323.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.
- This draw was probably the "third most significant" w.r.t.
winners and
prizes.
It had the second highest number of 4-match winners, the third
highest number of 3-match (and total) winners and the fourth highest
number of 5-match and 5+bonus winners. This, in turn, resulted in the
third lowest 5+bonus and 4-match individual prizes and the fourth lowest
5-match individual prize.
- If that wasn't enough, this was the first time for a massive 32 weeks
that the
jackpool prize pool (when won) had
dipped below £8m. Similarly, this draw had the lowest 5+bonus, 5-match
and 4-match prize pools for 35 weeks.
- The number 5 broke several records in this draw including:
- Being the first to appear in two consecutive draws as a bonus number.
- Appearing for the 4th time as a bonus number.
- Increasing its lead to two at the top of the
winning number frequency
table with its
14th appearance as one of the seven numbers drawn each week.
- Only one match for me as the 50th draw goes by without a
win...
- £971,219 of unclaimed prizes (3.28% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 25th April 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
