Comments:
- The draw used ball set 7 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £20.77.
One in every 46.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.16% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,816,680.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.
- The number 44 joins three others at the top of the main number
frequency table after making
its 10th appearance.
- In terms of
individual prizes
for two consecutive weeks, this draw had
the lowest 4-match prizes (under £45 for both weeks), 5-match prizes
(under £1,000) and 5+bonus prizes (under £75,000).
- The first three main numbers drawn out were also the lowest three main
numbers in that order after sorting the six numbers into ascending order,
which was the first time this had happened.
- Only one match for me this week as I approach a year without a win...
- £811,315 of unclaimed prizes (2.75% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 2nd May 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
