Comments:

• The draw used ball set 2 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.58. One in every 50.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.99% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,302,329.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.
• The 8th appearance of the number 38 has moved it to the top of the main number frequency table, a position it shares with five other numbers. It also moved to the joint top of the winning number frequency table (as did the number 21) with its 9th appearance as one of the seven numbers drawn each week.
• No matches at all for me this week...not exactly surprising considering my previous zero wins record.
• £968,832 of unclaimed prizes (3.27% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 22nd February 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
