Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £35.52.
One in every 78.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.27% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,355,318.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- The jackpot prize pool was the highest for a non-rollover/Super
Draw week, having exceeded £11m for the first time in such a week.
- This was a record individual jackpot amount for a draw with 4 or more
jackpot winners.
- The number 31 made its 8th appearance as a main number
(joining 17 and 44
at the top of the
frequency table)
and its 9th appearance including bonus numbers (now outright top of that
frequency table).
- The numbers 4, 31 and 43 also appeared in
Lottery #11.
- ITV teletext page 123 claimed that this was
Lottery #34, but that was last week's draw of course.
- The first two main numbers drawn out were also the lowest two main
numbers in that order after sorting the six numbers into ascending order,
which was the first time this had happened.
- No matches for me this week.
- £523,106 of unclaimed prizes (1.77% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 11th January 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
