Comments:

• The draw used ball set 4 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.36. One in every 49.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.01% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,245,742.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 13 wins totalling £130.
• The number 38 stretched its leads at the top of both the main (to 9) and winning (to 13) number frequency tables after its 113th and 132nd such appearances respectively.
• Ticket sales dropped to their second lowest level ever for a Saturday main Lotto draw. Even worse, the HotPicks sales fell to their lowest ever for a Saturday HotPicks draw.
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and one number on my second ticket to continue my awful run of losses.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 6th March 2003 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
