Comments:
- The draw used ball set 5 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £17.15.
One in every 38.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.62% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,704,063.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 10 wins totalling £134.
- The 7th appearance of the bonus number
39 has left the numbers
18 and 19 two adrift
at the basement of the bonus number
frequency table.
- Although the ticket sales slightly
recovered for this draw, they were still the second worst of
any Saturday draw to date.
- This draw had the second lowest 5+bonus
prize for a Saturday draw to date
(as well as being the third lowest 5+bonus prize ever).
It also had the lowest jackpot prize pool for a Saturday draw where
the jackpot was won, as well as the lowest ever 5+bonus, 5-match
and 4-match prize pools for a Saturday draw.
- I matched one number on each of my two tickets, so another
double failure notched up on my losing record.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 31st January 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
