Comments:

• The draw used ball set 7 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £25.83. One in every 57.5 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.74% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,456,354.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 4 wins totalling £178.
• There are now only three winning number pairs (out of a possible 1,176) that have failed to appear in any lottery to date: 01, 19, 10, 26 and 13, 49.
• The first appearance of the main number 6 for 38 draws has left the number 4 on its own as the longest main number absentee.
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and two numbers on my second ticket, so the fact that one of the two Camelot phone numbers wasn't working today didn't matter because I didn't win...
• A 5+bonus prize of £72,625 won by a ticket bought in the Stockport area expired and was added to the Good Causes fund.
• £1,335,887 of unclaimed prizes (2.63% of the total prize pool of this week's Wednesday and Saturday draws) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 25th March 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
