Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £33.49.
One in every 52.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.89% of players).
- This was the 30th Super Draw and the jackpot pool was a guaranteed £10,000,002.
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,358,621.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- The rarest
main
and winning
number, 39,
appeared for the 21st (main) and 22nd (winning) time
respectively, but still remained at the outright bottom
of both frequency tables.
- Ticket sales
across all 69 Wednesday draws
to date have now just exceeded £2 billion in total.
- For the superstitious amongst you, this was the
first time that the seven winning numbers contained the three possible
multiples of thirteen (i.e. 13, 26, 39).
- A 5+bonus prize of £55,650 won by a ticket bought in the
Decorum BC area remains unclaimed at the moment.
- I matched two numbers on my first ticket, one number
on my third ticket and nothing on my other two tickets, so
this was wasn't such a "super draw" for me.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 23rd November 1998 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
