Comments:

• The draw used ball set 11 in the Merlin machine and the average main Lotto prize was £18.70. One in every 41.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.40% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,895,182.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 19 wins totalling £190.
• I matched one number on each of my two tickets, so I failed to win in three consecutive Saturday draws (which I would have been amazed at).
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 28th March 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
