Comments:

• The draw used ball set 7 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £28.33. One in every 63.0 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.59% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,575,392.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 8 wins totalling £221.
• The number 20 has conveniently made its 20th bonus number appearance, simultaneously putting it outright top of the bonus number frequency table.
• This draw had the second lowest Saturday ticket sales ever (ironic considering the huge US Powerball draw that took place tonight).
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and two numbers on my second, so even the 27 to 1 chance to win across the two tickets didn't help me.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 21st February 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
