Comments:

• The draw used ball set 4 in the Galahad machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.77. One in every 55.1 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.81% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,781,630.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 13 wins totalling £130.
• Ticket sales crashed yet again to their lowest level ever for a Saturday draw which, of course, meant the total prize pool was the lowest ever for a Saturday draw where the jackpot was won.
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and two numbers on my second ticket to continue my losing streak.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 6th December 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
