• The draw used ball set 3 in the Merlin machine and the average main Lotto prize was £32.08. One in every 71.3 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.40% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,977,401.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 4 wins totalling £40.
• Yellow has become the first colour to have appeared 400 times as a main ball.
• The 29th appearance of the main number 39 has left only the numbers 19 and 20 at the basement of the main number frequency table ith one less appearance. It also left the number 19 on its own at the bottom of the winning number frequency table with 31 appearances.
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and only one number on my second ticket, so I wasn't one of the lucky winners of one of tonight's fairly large Wednesday individual prizes (high numbers meant a low number of winners).
• A 5+bonus prize of £240,455 won by a ticket bought in the East London area expired and was added to the Good Causes fund.
• Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 7th June 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
