Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £18.05.
One in every 60.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.65% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £873,340.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.
- For the fifth time, there was no jackpot winner and, like its predecessor,
it's also come four weeks after
the last one, which is now the shortest gap
between jackpot-winless draws.
- This was the first time three consecutive main numbers (i.e. a
consecutive main number triple)
had been drawn and this also provided the first time there were two
consecutive main number pairs (both part
of the triple).
- The number 17 continues to streak ahead with 8 appearances as a main
number - two more than the next group of contenders (which now includes the
number 16 on six appearances).
- At long last, Camelot are now quoting a total prize pool figure that
excludes the jackpot pool when it isn't won - see, I was right all
along...
- It was tricky finding the exact jackpot amount that wasn't won - Camelot
was giving out estimated figures for it right through until Tuesday !
I've eventually got the correct jackpot figure on Thursday...
- Two matches for me on my ticket this week - it looks like I'm destined
never to win...
- £603,130 of unclaimed prizes (3.25% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 16th November 1995 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
