Comments:
- The draw used ball set A in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £20.25.
One in every 45.1 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.22% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,497,883.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- Another unusual range of numbers for the second week running, although
this time it's the turn of the low numbers as 5 of the 6 main numbers were
under 15 ! This, of course, explains why there were over a million winners
this week (month and birthdate pickers would have had a field day).
- There were record ticket sales for a non-rollover week, but it's early
days yet.
- The numbers 3, 5 and 14 were also picked in
Lottery #1, which means this was the first time a
jackpot ticket had won a prize prior to a draw.
- Groan - 2 matches for me again and 4 out on a third number. The near
misses continue unabated...
- £852,667 of unclaimed prizes (3.47% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 15th June 1995 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
