• The draw used ball set 6 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £27.39. One in every 51.8 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.93% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,725,076.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 15 wins totalling £150.
• The 95th appearance of the winning number 25 has brought it to within seven of the winning number frequency table leader (the number 38).
• For the first time ever, there was at least one winner in each of the main, Thunderball and Extra draws on a Saturday.
• I matched nothing on either of my two tickets, so my money certainly got "rolled over" (and not back into my pocket, that's for sure).
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 2nd August 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
