Comments:
- The draw used ball set 4 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.46.
One in every 49.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.00% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,096,379.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 7 wins totalling £70.
- The 47th appearance of the main number 13 has left the
number 20 one adrift at the bottom of the main number
frequency table. The number 13
is now also only one behind the number 39 at the bottom of
the winning number frequency
table after its 53rd such
appearance.
- In what must be a major disappointment for Camelot, the new National
Lottery Extra draw that started today, partly designed to boost the
ticket sales of the main lottery by forcing players
to buy a main lottery ticket with every Extra ticket, actually didn't
stop the ticket sales for this draw from falling by £189,039
compared to last Wednesday.
- I had my 20th £10 win
via my first ticket in this draw (but matched nothing on my second
ticket) - so not buying an Extra ticket handsomely paid off for me...
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 14th May 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
