Comments:
- The draw used ball set 3 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.53.
One in every 54.5 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.83% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,822,636.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 11 wins totalling £152.
- The number 25 extended its lead to two
at the top of the main number frequency
table after its
60th such appearance. Even more impressively, it has a
lead of four in the winning number frequency
table after
being drawn as one of the seven numbers for the 70th time.
- The 32nd appearance of the main number 19
made it joint bottom of that frequency table, equal with
the number 39. It's now also joint bottom of the
winning number frequency table with the number 39 - both
are on 35 such appearances each.
- There are now three ticket
combinations that have
won 23 prizes since the lottery began.
- The longest main and winning number absentee, the
number 19, finally turned up after failing to
appear for
42 consecutive draws and therefored handed
over the mantles to the number 16, which hasn't
appeared
for 21 consecutive draws as a main or winning number.
- I matched nothing on my first ticket and one number
on my second ticket to continue my 10-month-long dry spell.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 27th December 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
