Comments:
- The draw used ball set 1 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.33.
One in every 49.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.01% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £7,850,674.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 6 wins totalling £131.
- The number 44 has stretched its lead to two in both the
main and
winning
number frequency tables by appearing
for the 39th (main) and 46th (winning) times.
- The number 39 is now off the bottom of the main number
frequency table, leaving the basement position to the number
15 (which has only appeared 18 times to date). The number 39
is still the rarest winning number, although it's now
only two appearances behind the number 15.
- With the numbers 39 and 44 eventually appearing, the longest main
and winning number absentee is now
the number 19, which hasn't appeared for 26 draws now.
- One ticket combination
has now managed to win 19 prizes in the 230 lotteries to date.
- I matched one number on my first ticket and two numbers on my second
ticket to continue my 6-month long losing streak.
- £1,041,949 of unclaimed prizes (2.58% of the total prize pool of this week's Wednesday and Saturday draws) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 3rd September 1998 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
