Comments:

• The draw used ball set 1 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.89. One in every 50.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.96% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,957,370.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 8 wins totalling £80. This is an outright record number of prior wins for a jackpot ticket.
• The number 44 turned up yet again to stretch its lead to six in the main number frequency table (38 appearances) and to five in the winning number frequency table (44 appearances).
• The main number pair 27, 44 has now appeared 8 times since the lottery began, a feat only shared with the pair 17, 40.
• The main number triples 27, 38, 40 and 38, 40, 44 have now appeared three times in the history of the lottery (as have 19 other such triples). 27,38,40 is also a four-timer winning number triple (joining 9 other triples in achieving this).
• I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my second, which seems to be a fairly standard level of success (i.e. none) for me nowadays.
