Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £19.73.
One in every 44.0 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.27% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,617,008.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- The number 44
has joined the number 5 at the top of the
main number frequency table
with its 25th appearance as one of the 6 drawn balls.
- The number 21 is now on its own at the bottom
of the main number frequency table thanks to the 13th appearance
of the number 19.
- Similarly, the number 39 is also stranded
alone at the bottom of the winning number frequency
table after the
number 19 appeared for the 15th time as one of the 7 balls
drawn.
- The numbers 25 and 44 have moved
to within two of the number 5 with their 29th winning
number appearances.
- The winning number 18 has now failed to
appear for
31 consecutive draws, which is the joint third longest such
absence
since the lottery began.
- Six ticket combinations
have now won 13 or more prizes since the lottery began.
- Yellow has become the first ball colour to make 200
main number appearances.
- I matched one number on my first ticket and none on my
second as my bad run continues (hopefully it won't be a
year before my next win !).
- £1,339,738 of unclaimed prizes (3.51% of the total prize pool of this week's Wednesday and Saturday draws) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 6th November 1997 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
