Comments:

• The draw used ball set 7 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £26.33. One in every 58.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.71% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,718,856.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 3 wins totalling £30.
• Anthea Turner hosted her last ever lottery TV show this week after 18 months in the job.
• The number 28 is now joint top of the main number frequency table (14th appearance) and outright top of the winning number frequency table (19th appearance).
• The two winning number triples 23, 28, 48 and 29, 31, 40 have now both appeared 3 times in the history of the lottery, making them joint top of the table with four other triples.
• With the continual increase of Lucky Dip sales during normal weeks, the manual sales have now fallen to their lowest level for 36 weeks.
