Comments:
- The draw used ball set 8 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.66.
One in every 54.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.82% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £5,689,735.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- This was the first time that all 6 main numbers had appeared as main
numbers in previous draws.
- The numbers 17, 36 and 42 also appeared in
Lottery #7. This was also the third time 17 and 42
had been drawn in the same lottery, which was a record for any pair of main
numbers.
- This was the first week that 4 of the 7 winning balls were the same
colour (blue).
- A single match for me yet again this week - no wins for me in the first
16 draws and my second batch of 8 weeks has run out. My
subscription certificate for a year's worth of numbers came through - it
starts from
Lottery #19 onwards...
- £602,983 of unclaimed prizes (2.19% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 31st August 1995 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
