Comments:
- The draw used ball set 7 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.82.
One in every 48.8 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.05% of players).
- This was the 2nd Super Draw and the jackpot pool was topped-up by £4,000,000.
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,627,497.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- This Super Draw was termed a "Spring Bonus" by Camelot,
despite the fact that Spring is 10 days away.
- This was the first time that a draw had multiple individual jackpot
prizes that exceeded £5m each (the previous record was held by
Lottery #5 with 2 prizes at £3,403,310
each).
- Number 29 has joined number 38 at the top of the frequency table with
5 appearances so far.
- The numbers 2, 27 and 29 also appeared in
Lottery #6.
- Ticket sales increased for the
third consecutive week, which has never happened before.
- So close and yet so far - 2 matches and 2 numbers one out on my first
ticket and one match on my second ticket for this second Super Draw.
It looks like I'm destined to always lose out...
- £823,828 of unclaimed prizes (2.39% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 7th September 1995 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
