The next table displays the draw order, revised frequencies and the last prior appearance of each of the 7 balls.
Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Merlin machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.94.
One in every 55.5 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.80% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,088,593.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 7 wins totalling £126.
- The number 44 has now opened a gap of two
at the top of the main number frequency
table after
its 47th such appearance and a gap of one at the summit
of the winning number frequency
table after being drawn
as a winning number for the 54th time.
- The 25th appearance of the main number 37 has
dragged it away from the basement position it was sharing with
the number 39.
- It was also the first appearance of the number 37 for
37 draws, which meant it handed the longest absentee
mantles over to the numbers
4 (30 draws since last appeared as a
main or
winning number) and 6
(also 30 draws, but as a main number only).
- The number 20 has now appeared 13 times as a
bonus number, which puts it
outright top of the bonus number frequency table.
- The 9th playslip row
(numbers 41-45) became the first one to have had 200 main
numbers drawn in that row since the lottery began.
- This draw had the lowest Saturday ticket sales for almost a
year (and that draw last September wasn't even televised !).
- I matched two numbers on my first ticket and one number
on my second, so no surprise that I lost yet again.
- £1,027,664 of unclaimed prizes (2.75% of the total prize pool of this week's Wednesday and Saturday draws) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 25th February 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
Next Lottery: #281 (Wednesday 2nd September 1998) [16 jackpot winners]
