- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,207,819.

- The 17th appearance of the main number 39 has
left the number 15 at the bottom of the
frequency table with
16 appearances.
- The bonus number 29 allowed pink to become the

- This draw had the highest top-up

Super Draw to date.
- The individual jackpot
prize was the highest ever won by 10 or
more people in a single draw.
- The combined sales

- This week's Lucky Dip sales were the second highest in the history of
the lottery and also had the highest percentage (23.2%) of ticket sales to date.

numbers on my second ticket and nothing on my fourth ticket, meaning
a complete failure for the three consecutive Super Draws.
- A 5+bonus prize of £185,698 won by a ticket bought in the Lewisham area expired and was added to the Good Causes fund.
- £1,736,997 of unclaimed prizes (2.26% of the total prize pool of this week's Wednesday and Saturday draws) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 21st May 1998 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
