Comments:
double pool=(double)((int)(10*(ticket_sales*0.45-M3_prize*M3_winners)))/10.0; int jack_prize=(int)(pool*0.52);The official rule book never explains that the total pool must be rounded down to, yes, the nearest 10p before the individual jackpot prize is calculated as 52% of the total pool (and then rounded down to the nearest pound). No, don't ask me why the first round down is to the nearest 10p and the other to the nearest pound - it's illogical to me. Apparently, I was the only one who quizzed Camelot about this (I hadn't been rounding down the total pool and this was the first lottery which caused a discrepancy if you don't round down), but I suspect very few people in the UK outside of Camelot are checking that the figures match the formula anyway !
