• The draw used ball set 12 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £26.29. One in every 58.5 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.71% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,584,967.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 11 wins totalling £229.
• Although main Lotto ticket sales recovered slightly after last Saturday's all-time low, they were still the second worst Saturday main Lotto ticket sales ever.
• HotPicks ticket sales exceeded £4m for the first time, although the number of winners in each tier were all lower than last Saturday.
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and only one number on my second, so the luckmobile didn't visit my house, that's for sure.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 16th January 2003 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
