• The draw used ball set 11 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £42.70. One in every 63.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.57% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £7,436,602.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 14 wins totalling £140.
• Lotto HotPicks set a Wednesday sales record (not hard, since it was only the second Wednesday HotPicks draw), though much of that was probably due to the main Lotto draw having a rollover.
• I matched one number on my first, second and fourth tickets and two numbers on my third ticket, but this still left me £4 out of pocket of course.
• Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 13th January 2003 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
