Comments:

• The draw used ball set 4 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £30.67. One in every 68.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.47% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £5,654,584.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 8 wins totalling £160.
• The number 25 joined the numbers 28 and 44 at the top of the main number frequency table after its 47th appearance and also went outright top of the winning number frequency table after appearing for the 56th time.
• The number 37 is now tied with the number 39 at the basement of the main number frequency table after being drawn for the 26th time.
• I matched nothing on my first ticket and only one number on my second, so the full launch of the official Easy Play Web site (and what a disappointment that was !) didn't help my cause.
• £861,280 of unclaimed prizes (2.29% of the total prize pool of this week's Wednesday and Saturday draws) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 15th April 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
