Comments:
- The draw used ball set 4 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £25.83.
One in every 57.4 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.74% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,393,806.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.
- There were a very high number of 5+bonus winners (only beaten by the
freak results of
Lottery #9), perhaps because the
bonus number 22 was the joint most frequent main number prior to the draw
and the winners had been picking it on that basis.
- The number 17 has become the outright most frequent main number, having
appeared as such for the 7th time.
- This was a record sixth successive draw with no consecutive main number
pairs.
- I might have hoped the 25th draw would get me some "silver", but no such
luck as usual - only a single match on my ticket.
- £693,174 of unclaimed prizes (2.46% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 2nd November 1995 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
