Comments:

The draw used ball set 4 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £30.12. One in every 44.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.24% of players).
If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,514,271.
The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 20 wins totalling £1,716.
This was only the second draw (the first one being back in January 2001) to have 5 of its 6 main numbers appear in an earlier draw (draw #175, back in August 1997).
Even more impressively, if you continued to play the £2.5m-winning jackpot ticket (01 07 22 25 31 47) for draw #175 all the way through to this draw, you'd be rewarded with a £36,605 5+bonus win for this draw, which is the first time this has happened.
