• The draw used ball set 4 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £18.20. One in every 40.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.46% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,995,604.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 16 wins totalling £160.
• Remarkably, the top four most popular main numbers (38, 23, 25 and 44) all appeared in this draw, so people tracking "hot numbers" would have struck lucky with at least a £29 win. • Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 10th June 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
