The next table displays the draw order, revised frequencies and the last prior appearance of each of the 7 balls.
Comments:
- The draw used ball set 8 in the Galahad machine and the average main Lotto prize was £27.44.
One in every 53.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.86% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £5,319,838.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 9 wins totalling £150.
- The 46th main number
appearance
of the number 13 has moved it off of the
basement of the appropriate frequency table, leaving
the number 20 as the sole occupant of
last place. However, the number 13 still remains two
adrift of the rest at the bottom of the winning number
frequency table,
despite making its 52nd such appearance.
- The main number pair 01, 31 now shares the top
of the appropriate frequency
table with the pair 38, 46
after its 17th such appearance.
- The main number triple 01, 31, 47 has become third
such triple to appear 5 times
since the lottery began.
- Two ticket combinations
have now won 28 prizes in the 506 lotteries to date.
- This was the first draw to use the Galahad
machine. Quite why this
fifth machine was introduced 6 years into the lottery licence
and over 2 years
after the fourth machine (Merlin) was brought in - also for a
rollover draw - is
anyone's guess. It's also the first machine to annoyingly
have the same initial letter as another machine (Guinevere).
- I matched nothing on my third ticket, one number on my first
and fourth tickets and two numbers on my second ticket, so the
new machine did me no favours.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 26th April 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
