Comments:
- The draw used ball set 2 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £32.80.
One in every 40.3 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.48% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £7,836,778.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 9 wins totalling £90.
- The 38th appearance of the rarest main number (19)
has left it only one adrift at the basement of the main number frequency
table. Its 41st winning number
appearance leaves it three
behind the rest in that table as well.
- Unsurprisingly, this first ever Wednesday double rollover draw (and
the first double rollover draw to include money from a Super Draw jackpot
in the rolled over amount) had record
ticket sales for a Wednesday draw (more than 50%
higher than any previous Wednesday draw) and a
record sales percentage increase (first time over 100%) between any Wed-Wed or
Sat-Sat consecutive draw. This draw actually had higher ticket sales than
any Saturday draw in the last 7 months and any "normal"
Saturday draw in almost the last 3 years. In fact, it was
the first time that a Wednesday draw had ever sold more tickets than a Saturday draw.
- Tonight's draw had the largest number of 5-match (first time over 2,000),
4-match (first time over 75,000), 3-match (first time over one million) and
total (also first time over one million) winners
of any Wednesday draw to date.
- Naturally enough, all prize pool tiers and the total prize pool were the
highest for any Wednesday draw.
- This draw had a record number of jackpot winners that had won over £3 million
each in the same draw.
- I failed dismally with my six tickets today, only matching one number
on my 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th tickets and nothing at all on my 1st and 4th
tickets. So that's me another £6 lighter...
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 10th July 2000 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
Next Lottery: #424 (Saturday 15th January 2000) [4 jackpot winners]
