Comments:

The draw used ball set 4 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £54.83. One in every 67.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.49% of players).

If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,531,485.

The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 34 wins totalling £407.

From Saturday 12th July 2003 onwards, Camelot has completely refused to issue per-draw sales figures for any of their individual games, despite continuously doing so for more than 8 years prior to that date. However, games with variable prize tiers such as the main Lotto can have their sales figures reverse-calculated to within a few pounds, which is what I have done.

I had my third 4-match win to date on the 5th of the 6 tickets I bought for this draw. It was the joint 239th highest 4-match prize out of all 1,729 draws to date, placing it well above the average 4-match prize of £62 (or my previous best win of £59).

Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 5.30pm GMT on Monday 14th January 2013 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
