Comments:
- The draw used ball set 5 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £28.02.
One in every 62.3 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.61% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,526,473.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 13 wins totalling £166.
- The 51st appearance of the winning number
39 has left the number 13
four adrift of the winning number frequency
table.
- Two ticket combinations
have now won 27 prizes in the 476 lotteries to date.
- Ticket sales rose for the seventh
consecutive draw (comparing Saturday-to-Saturday and
Wednesday-to-Wednesday sales), which is an outright all-time record.
- I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my
second ticket, so that record sequence of increasing ticket
sales did nothing for my luck in this draw.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 11th January 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
Next Lottery: #477 (Wednesday 19th July 2000) [No jackpot winners]
