Comments:
- The draw used ball set 7 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £19.40.
One in every 43.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.32% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,543,429.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 6 wins totalling £60.
- The number 25 moved into the outright lead
of the main number frequency
table after its
49th such appearance. It's also stretched its lead to two
in the winning number frequency
table following its
58th such appearance.
- At the other end of the main number frequency table, the 28th appearance
of the number 19 has left the numbers
37 and 39 two adrift at the basement.
The number 19's 31st appearance as a winning number has also left
the number 39 three adrift at the bottom of the winning number
frequency table.
- This was only the third time that all six main numbers were
odd.
- There are now less than 50,000 ticket
combinations that have failed
to win a prize in any of the 301 lotteries to date.
- I matched one number on each of my two tickets, which is far
less successful than "pattycakes" - a user in the lottery chat room
who said they won one of tonight's 5+bonus prizes of £87,861 !
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 10th May 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
