* Work out why the 64-bit Linux binary is significantly slower than the
  equivalent 32-bit one.

* Expand the GUI support activated by the -g option. It would be nice if all
  stderr messages could be duplicated to a log window (perhaps with a
  timestamp like Nero does) and also the results tables displayed in a GUI
  text dialogue.

* Find out why Linux binaries created with gcc releases after 4.1.2 perform
  so dismally.
